What is Hump Nose Surgery?

A humped nose is a nose in which there is a protrusion in the nasal dorsum (nose bridge) and a drooping nose tip which is caused by the abnormal growth of the nasal bones and nasal cartilage. In order to correct and/or remove the hump, both the nasal bone and cartilage will be corrected. Also, depending on the severity of the protrusion, different surgical methods may be used.
The bones which are low, at the end of the nose, can be corrected with having a sharper tip by reassembling the nose tip along the centerline. If it is not a serious case, the hump can be removed through osteotomy.

1. If the Nose is Slightly Protruding

The procedure of shaving the protrusion takes about 30 ~ 40 minutes with the surgical equipment. In some cases, the nasal line is smoothened by making the nose bridge and nose tip higher.

2. If the Nose is Severely Protruding

If your nose is naturally high and you have a hump on your nose bridge, the hump is shaved off to make the nasal line smooth.

3. If You Want to Trim Your Hump and Raise Your Nose

We would shave off the hump and raise your nose tip by using the nasal septal cartilage to lift it up, to get rid of the droopiness of the nose. The height of the nose bridge is increased by using an implant.
