About Cinderella’s Nose Revision Surgery

In cases where the shape of the nose is unsa-
tisfactory after surgery, the nose is deviated, the implants can be seen through the skin, or there is a tissue infection, revision surgery is an option. Nose Revision is by default more complicated than first time surgery, due to the existent scar tissue and the fact that the original implants have to be removed. Because of this, a revision surgery is safest when performed by a specialist with plenty of experience in the area.

Ideal Time for
Nose Revision Surgery

Revision Surgery is best performed after at least 5~6 months from the original surgery; after all the remaining swelling has subsided and tissues have healed.

Nose Revision Surgery Cases

Before

After

Deviated Implant

This is the most common reason for revision surgery. When the implant is not properly fixed in place, or the shape is unsuitable for the individual’s nose, a revision is required.

Revision Method

The present implant is removed first, and after assessing the condition of the nose, a suitable implant for the nose’s shape and condition is chosen and fixed on the nose bridge.

Before

After

Excessively Narrow Nose Bridge

In cases where the width of implant is too narrow, or the nose skin too is thin, the nose can have an unnatural appearance. To correct this, revision is an option.

Revision Method

The original, narrow implant is removed and replaced with an implant of more suitable width.

Before

After

Excessively High Nose Bridge

In cases where the implant is too high, causing the nose bridge to look disproportionate, a revision can help improve the strong, masculine image that this causes.

Revision Method

The original, excessively high implant is removed and replaced with an implant of more suitable height and shape.

Before

After

Deformed Nose Tip

In cases where the nose tip has been heightened too much, where revision surgery has already been performed due to infection, where the nasal cartilage is deviated due to contracture, or where there is an abundance of scar tissue, revision surgery is an option.

Revision Method

The present implants are removed and the nose tip is reconstructed in order to create a shape that is as natural looking as possible.

Before

After

Lowered Nose Tip

For cases where the nose tip structure is not firm enough, and the implanted cartilage collapses, revision surgery is required.

Revision Method

The present implants are removed and the nose tip is reconstructed using septal cartilage, inserting and fixing it to hold the nose tip up.

Before

After

Shortened Nose Tip by Contracture

For cases where infection occurs after the surgery, the nose’s skin tissue might contract and harden around the implants, pulling them upward and inward, shortening the nose.

Revision Method

The present implants are removed and the nose tip cartilage is reconstructed to its original length and shape. After that, the tip of the nose is held up in place through septal cartilage or artificial cartilage.

Before

After

Pinched Nose

When a single implant is introduced from the nose bridge to the tip, such as an L-shaped implant, the shape might look natural at the beginning, but with time, the nose might look too pointy as the skin becomes thinner.

Revision Method

The present implants are removed and replaced by a silicone implant for the bridge, and autologous cartilage for the tip, creating a more natural shape.
