Facial Asymmetry

Facial Asymmetry: Balancing a Dislocated Face
Improve face size and length for a balanced, harmonious face.

What is Facial Asymmetry?

Face asymmetry is when one side of the jawbone develops or curves in an unbalanced way. If there is a noticeable jaw dislocation or different development of both jaws with malocclusion, treatment is necessary.

What are the Merits of
Cinderella's Facial Asymmetry Surgery?

01 Precision Diagnosis, the Basics of Safe Surgery!

1

3D CT scan

Accurate data is collected through cutting-edge 3D techniques. Thoroughly checks the nasal bone, the thickness of skin and angle of nose and face, and the location of nerves that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Collects nasal bone data and completes a beautiful face with our safe procedure.

2

X-ray

Performs basic examination of all materials to check the occlusal state and bones quickly and accurately.

3

Preoperative inspection

Conducts a comprehensive health checkup to check the health status of the client before surgery.

02 Four-step Precision Diagnosis System

1

3D CT scan

Accurate data collection of the fine nerve distribution, bone thickness, and blood vessel location for precise treatment.

2

3D VTO

A digital simulation system for predicting post-operative state before the actual surgery.

3

Face-bow transfer and model mounting

A precision diagnostic system that measures the occlusal state, strength, and structure of the jaw with accurate measurement of the length and angle from the eye to the upper jaw.

4

Mock surgery using the RP (Rapid Prototype) model

The surgery can reconstruct the skeleton of the patient and evaluate the relationship between skeletal problems and maxillomandibular bones in three dimensions.

Treatment for Different Types of
Facial Asymmetry

01. If only the chin tip is asymmetrical

If occlusion is normal and only the bone of the chin tip has slight left or right asymmetry, it can be corrected by chin tip surgery. First, make the upper and lower jaws symmetrical and adjust the symmetry of the chin tip.

02. Lower Jaw Dislocated Asymmetrically

The centerline of the face is normal down to the upper jaw, and thus can be improved by lower jaw surgery if the centerline is dislocated from the lower jaw.

03. Asymmetrical Jaws

If asymmetry is severe, it can be corrected through two-jaw surgery. In two-jaw surgery, the upper jaw is cut horizontally, aligned to the desired angle, and aligned again with the centerline of the face.

Protruded Mouth with Short Chin

If the centerline of the face is dislocated, accompanied by a protruding mouth and short chin, two-jaw surgery can improve the condition.

04. Difference Between Left and Right Contour of the Jawline

If the centerline is dislocated and the shape of the left and right bones are different, two-jaw surgery can improve the condition.

Cinderella’s
Facial Asymmetry Surgery Candidates

  • If your face’s centerline and chin tip centerline are mismatched

  • If your jaw is crooked on one side

  • If one part of your jaw is particularly protruded

  • If your upper and lower teeth do not fit the centerline

  • If your lips appear crooked

  • If one side of the outer corners of your lips is upturned
